"The Transient Effects of Light on Water"

This was an interesting one. The name comes from the title of an album from the metalcore band This Day Forward. The album name comes from a lecture of one of the band members professors talking about how water is an object always in motion so to capture it on canvas is a hard task. Challenge accepted I thought to myself. I then got to learning 3D rendering and animation in blender in which I created an animation. I then rendered each individual from which I was initially going to hand paint in watercolor. It looked awful so I then decided to just alter each frame in photoshop creating an animation with the feel of having been painted in water color. Initially I had wanted to hand paint a QR code with the image in the back of it for the label linking to the animation but the animation was taking so long that I the deadline for the label came up fast and I had to abandon that idea. I added in a little geometric shape because the image was kind of bleak by itself. The animation was then used in the promotion for the release as a teaser on social media. So at least my hard work didn’t go to waste.
