DR. OCTAGON
Named after one of Kool Kieths project monikers Dr. Octagon. In the project he describes the character and I wanted to make an attempt to create the character as my own. Initially I was racking my brain as to how I wanted to design it and was failing to put anything down on paper. Remembering the teachings of Lars Grant West in a Creature Creation course I took of “Why not sculpt it?” I busted out my polymer clay. I didn’t really have any set idea on how I wanted it to look overall so I trusted my gut and went with the flow of my consciousness. Slowly the figure realized itself about 48 hours later. The background was painted as a throw back to the original album art and after a quick photo shoot with the figure the label was complete.
